This scarf, which features my "Mountains" print in black and ocher, has been block printed by hand in Bagru (India) using natural dyes. The black dye is derived from iron, and the ochre is from the harda fruit (also known as breadfruit).
It measures 45" x 72" (115 x 184 cm), and is printed on a lightweight, cream-colored cotton with a beautiful drape. The cotton will soften with wear and wash. It's beautiful to wear, or it can be hung and a handmade piece of art in its own right!
The scarf can be machine washed in cold water on the delicate cycle, and then line dried. The scarf has been cured so the natural dyes used in printing are color fast (though normal fading will occur throughout the scarf's lifetime).
